The Game of Life
Site-specific multimedia installation, 256x249 cm printed digital drawing, 1’44’’ video-animation projection (continuous loop), 21 pencil cards on 10,5x18 cm paper, wooden bases, d6 dice, video projector, playing audience
2019
Starting from the "START" box, the spectator draws the card that gives him a job and after having rolled the dice he advances on the board. He finds himself in an obligatory path, even different choices, that passing through various plausible events of life will inevitably lead to the "Death" box. The silent lindy-hop dance, the frozen representation of the last moment of life, will always be clearly visible during the path. The spectator, once positioned on the last box, will obscure with his body the projection, finding himself staring into the void.
