Il Cristo degli stracci (Silentium Lucis)
Synchronised video triptych, 2’54’’ (continuous loop), oil and acrylic on canvas, 5x5 cm, projection using a profile spotlight, 2026
This artwork is a three-channel video installation that brings a domestic gesture into dialogue with a cosmic dimension. As a woman hangs laundry, the face of Christ emerges and disappears among the fabrics; on either side, a solar eclipse and a lunar eclipse unfold simultaneously, transforming an impossible event into a metaphor for the obscuring of human perception. Behind the screen, a small illuminated skull remains as the only permanent presence: a memento mori, the enduring trace of what remains.
